Interior design Despite its compact external dimensions, the Verso-S cabin is remarkably spacious. Front seats, for example, are slim and ergonomic. That means more comfort for the front passengers, more leg room in the back. Five people travel in comfort, with a large boot and lots of storage around the cabin.
Multifunctional steering wheel The sporty three-spoke tilt-and-telescopic* steering wheel features silver accents and is leather trimmed with matching gear knob on Verso-S Luna and Sol grades**. Luna and Sol grades also enjoy wheel-mounted switches to control the audio system and hands-free calling functions.

On models with Multidrive S (petrol) or MultiMode (diesel) transmissions, paddle shifts are mounted on the rear of the steering wheel.

Driving Higher driving position The elevated seated position of Verso-S offers better visibility for the driver. Side mirrors are mounted on the doors; this allows a more slender A-pillar design, giving an improved view of the road.
Driving dynamics Verso-S is available with a 1.33 litre VVT-i petrol or a 1.4 D-4D diesel engine. Both options are smooth and responsive, yet efficient, too. Handling is excellent; Verso-S makes driving enjoyable with its power steering and compact, manoeuvrable exterior.
Automatic transmission with paddle shifts Both petrol and diesel engines are available with automatic transmissions.

The petrol engine has optional Multidrive S, a smooth, efficient automatic transmission with a manual mode. The diesel option offers advanced MultiMode, featuring two automatic (Economy & Sport) and one manual mode.

Steering wheel mounted paddle shifts allow finger-tip control of the manual mode for both Multidrive S and MultiMode transmissions.

1.4 litre D-4D The 1.4 litre D-4D diesel engine with common rail direct injection provides clean, responsive power - 90 DIN hp - and better fuel efficiency, using as little as 4.3l/km with just 113 g/km CO2 emissions*.

It is available with a six-speed manual transmission or MultiMode, which features two automatic modes (Economy and Sport) and a manual mode operated using the steering wheel mounted paddle shifts.

Safety Airbags Verso-S is equipped with seven SRS airbags for passenger protection: driver and passenger airbags, driver's knee airbag, side airbags for the front seats, and curtain shield airbags protecting both front and rear occupants.
Front seat design During impact at lower speeds the WIL concept seat and headrest cushion the head and back at the same time to help reduce the risk of whiplash injuries.
Active safety Verso-S incorporates many advanced active safety measures to keep you safe. These include a Vehicle Stability Control system (VSC), Traction Control (TRC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA).
Seat belts Integral to the front seat belts, pre-tensioners and force-limiters are designed to help avoid injuries to the chest area.
