No more searching for the car key Instead of a conventional key, the Yaris features the optional Smart Entry & Start System. When close to the vehicle the Smart Key transmits a signal to unlock the doors. Then, the Start System allows you to start the engine with the push of a button. What could be easier?
Extra spaciousness
Interior Ergonomic and pleasing The Yaris centre console has been designed to the highest quality with the essential dials and instruments ergonomically positioned. Standard is the 3D digital meter: an advanced feature usually found on more premium models. The console also contains the audio controls.

Adding to your comfort is optional manual air conditioning for Yaris, Luna+ and 998 grades. The TS model comes with standard manual A/C or optional automatic A/C.

For Luna+, Sol and TS, the console can be fitted with the new portable TomTom, combining the very latest in satellite navigation and audio.
Adjustable comfort An ergonomic tilt steering wheel is standard for Yaris. For extra comfort, the Luna+ model features a telescopic, three-spoke, leather steering wheel with incorporated audio switches.
Unexpected storage space Thanks to innovative thinking, every inch of the Yaris is designed to maximise space. We’ve created additional storage space for smaller items (like a mobile phone), with up to 18.2 litres in the dashboard alone*. There’s even room for document storage behind the steering wheel. Not to mention a passenger tray and space in the door to store a water bottle.

Beautiful audio All models come with a CD player and crisp digital audio tuner. The Luna, Luna+, TS and 998 include the capability to play MP3 or WMA files on CD, controlled by audio switches on the leather steering wheel. The Luna+ and TS feature a six-speaker audio system. While a digital DSP amplifier with Live Acoustic System brings better bass to the Luna+, TS and 998 grades.

Engines 1.0l VVT-i engine <strong>Power in a small package</strong><br /><br />
Weighing only 67 kg, the Yaris 1.0 litre VVT-i engine is the lightest car engine available. Not surprisingly then, fuel consumption is one of the lowest for petrol engines. The all-aluminium 1.0 litre VVT-i petrol engine gives a fuel consumption of only 5.3 litres/100 km (MultiMode transmission).

And yet, with 69 DIN hp/51 kW at 6000 rpm, it is one of the most powerful 1.0 litre engines you’ll find. It provides 93 Nm of torque at only 3800 rpm.
<br /><br />
With a maximum speed of 150 km/h, the 1.0l VVT-i accelerates to 100 km/h in 15.7/16.9 seconds (MT/MM transmission). CO2 emissions are a low 127/125 g/km (MT/MM).

1.3l VVT-i engine <strong>Improved output for more fun</strong><br /><br />
This four-cylinder engine also features VVT-i to improve low-end torque and high-end power output, adding more fun to every journey. The 87 DIN hp/64 kW/6000 rpm 1.3 litre VVT-i engine propels 121 Nm of torque at 4200 rpm, giving the Yaris a sporty yet smooth feel.

With a maximum speed of 170 km/h, the 1.3l VVT-i accelerates to 100 km/h in 11.5/13.1 seconds (MT/MM transmission). CO2 emissions are 141/146 g/km (MT/MM). Fuel consumption is just 6.0/5.8 l/100 km (MT/MM).

1.4l D-4D 90 engine <strong>Responsive power, outstanding economy</strong><br /><br />
The flexible 1.4 litre D-4D 90 diesel engine offers 190 Nm of torque across a very wide rev range: 1800–3000 rpm.
<br /><br />
With a maximum speed of 175 km/h, the 1.4l D-4D 90 accelerates to 100 km/h in 10.7/11.8 seconds (MT/MM transmission). CO2 emissions are a very low 119 g/km (MT/MM). Fuel consumption is only 4.5 l/100 km.

Safety 5-star safety rating The Toyota Yaris has been awarded the maximum five-star ranking by Euro NCAP. With a total of 35 points, it is one of the safest cars in its class.

Euro NCAP is an independent safety assessment programme backed by five European governments, the European Commission and motoring and consumer organisations in every country in Europe.
Braking and stability <strong>ABS, EBD & BA</strong><br />
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD). ABS helps prevent wheels from locking when braking on a slippery road. EBD optimises brake force distribution between all four wheels. And Brake Assist (BA) automatically supports emergency braking by increasing braking force if needed. These features are standard across all models.
<br /><br /><strong>VSC & TRC</strong><br />
Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) helps prevent sliding by automatically applying the brake to the appropriate wheel. If you accelerate too hard and the wheels spin, Traction Control (TRC) automatically reduces engine power to help restore traction. Both features are options.
Intelligent protection All grades are equipped with SRS front and side airbags for the driver and front passenger. Yaris Luna+ Luna, Sol and TS also have standard SRS curtain shield and knee airbags, available as an option on the Yaris grade, too, for a total of 9 airbags.
<br /><br />
In the event of a frontal collision, SRS airbags help protect the driver and front passenger. In a front-end collision, the SRS driver’s knee airbag helps to protect the driver from injury against the lower dashboard. SRS curtain shield airbags help protect front and rear occupants from head injuries during side collisions.
Whiplash Injury Lessening & seat belts The Whiplash Injury Lessening (WIL) front seat design helps minimise the risk of neck whiplash injuries in low-speed, rear-end collisions.
<br /><br />
In addition, both front seatbelts incorporate pre-tensioners and force-limiters to help reduce the likelihood of injuries in an accident.
Reinforced protective structure The Toyota Yaris features a strong, rigid body structure. This is combined with Toyota’s Minimal Intrusion Cabin System (MICS) in which components are designed to help absorb and disperse energy to minimise cabin distortion.
